Lambeth sexual assault, Police have released CCTV images of a man they are seeking in relation to an incident that took place after a woman was followed home on the night bus.
The victim of this assault, said she had been followed at distance by the man, after both got off the N35 bus in Briston just after 4 in the morning on Sunday 19th August.
The the woman got to Station Avenue, the man suddenly caught up with her, before attacking her up against a wall. He was seen running from the scene shortly after.
The suspect is described as a black male, aged between 20 and 25-years-old. He had facial hair, and was about 5ft 8inches tall. At the time of the attack the man was wearing dark clothing, including a hoodie and black cap. The front of the cap was embroided with a sports logo – although Police don’t know with brand name was displayed.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Alison Downing, from the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command, said: “The victim was walking towards her home in the early hours when she was suddenly accosted by this man who had deliberately targeted her after spotting her on the bus they were both on.”
“The sexual assault he subjected her to has left her traumatised, and it is very important that we apprehend the man who attacked her. We are seeking any witnesses who know who he is or saw him on the N35 bus that night as it travelled through south London.”
