London Police are pushing ahead with a new fleet of hybrid vehicles to help with London’s air pollution problem.
Scotland Yard are planning to put about 250 vehicles on the road over the next 12 months, all using alternative forms of energy, such as electric or hybrid.
It’s the first part of a long term plan to eventually change all their 4000 fleet to more environmentally friendly models.
Hybrid 999 models
More than 30 hybrid electric car will also be rolled out to service emergency calls in the London area.
The Police are currently testing and looking at other models, including hydrogen powered scooters.
