A man who died after a horrific attack outside a club has been named as Jack Mitchell, 24.
He was a soldier working for the 32 Regiment Royal Artillery.
Jack died in the early hours of Sunday morning, in central Stroud.
A 28 year old man has now been arrested and released on bail.
Jacks mother, Kate Mitchell said: “I am so proud of my son and what he achieved. He had his whole life to look forward to.”
The man who was arrested has been bailed until 3rd May.
The arrested man, from Stroud, was granted police bail until 3 May, pending further inquiries.
